Speechless

Except to say that I feel so damn proud right now!

I thought this would be a good time to post one of my favorite photos from the 2004 Democratic Convention.

p.s. I purposely said "I feel proud" in hopes of being prominently featured on Sep's website "We Feel Fine" which is reporting that since the election, people are "feeling proud" on blogs 8 times more often than usual.

So where do we go from here? Although it is great that we may or may not have moved passed some of the racial boundries that have limited us as a nation thus far, isnt it fair to say that we now run the risk of proving the skeptics right, if we are unable to make significant progress in the next four years? In a way, it almost presents more of a challenge to Pres-elect Obama because he will have the luxury of working with a like-minded congress. With Mr. Bush doing what he can to deregulate at an alarming rate, and to escalate tensions abroad, do you think that it will be somewhat difficult to pull the 180 in one term? Maybe more importantly, even if substantial progress is made, can we keep the electorate fired up for '12 and avoid the disaster that our friend from Alaska would bring if she were able to convince the public that even with a democratic congress and a democratic president the "left" coulndt get the country on the right track?

Congrats on the wedding!!
